Melissa joined NBW in November of 2021. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in American Studies, focusing on historical depictions of the South and its landscape. After graduating, Melissa has pursued diverse work interests, as a waitress at a converted railroad bunkhouse, a bookseller in Virginia’s oldest bookshop, and as a legal assistant in a local law firm. While facilitating the contract process at NBW, she is pursuing a Masters of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University.
