Associate Principal

Evan Grimm earned a Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture degrees from Auburn University in Alabama. He joined Nelson Byrd Woltz in 2003, after two years at Wenk Associates in Denver CO. During his 16 years at NBW, Evan has contributed to wide range of institutional, public, and private landscapes including a Campus Landscape Master Plan and Toomer’s Corner Concept Design for Auburn University, the Asia Trail at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington DC, St Anne’s Belfield School, and the Town of Watercolor, Florida. Evan led recent efforts to complete the Summit Bechtel National Scouting Reserve, the Duke University Stormwater Reclamation Pond, the Powell Avenue Steam Plant Plaza in Birmingham, Alabama, and the Hobsonville Coastal Walkway in Auckland, New Zealand. He is currently leading major projects including the design of Machicomoco, a future state park in Gloucester County VA, and an intensive biological inventory and planning process on Cedar Mountain Reserve, a large scale property in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
