VIRGINIA WAR MEMORIAL : RICHMOND, VA
An expansion to an existing memorial in the heart of Richmond that commemorates Virginia veterans of all wars, NBW designed the landscape surrounding the new Phyllis Galanti Education Center scheduled for construction in 2009. The landscape includes a 250-person amphitheater with connecting walkways. Plantings of poppies and native grasses are inspired by Flanders Field. Collaboration with Glave & Holmes Associates.
