WOLONG GIANT PANDA RESERVE : SICHUAN, CHINA
The Wolong Giant Panda Center at Dongkoucao is located within the Wolong Reserve, a World Heritage Site in the Quonglia and Jaijin Mountains between the Chengdu and Qinghai-Tibetan Plateaus. The 100-acre site sits on the edge of the Sichuan Basin approximately 100km from Chengdu City. NBW developed the master plan to create a new visitor experience for viewing Giant Pandas in their natural habitat, part of a larger ecotourism vision for the region.
