SEVEN PONDS FARM : ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA
Master plan and landscape design for 133-acre central Virginia farm. Nelson Byrd Woltz has been working with the client for over 12 years, implementing the master plan. The garden sequence nearest the house comprises a swimming pool, terrace and pool pavilion complex, fountains, a children’s maze, formal berry garden, parking court, and a new entry sequence. The larger landscape includes a soccer field, orchard, formal gardens, tennis court, stable, and 800-specimen arboretum of species hardy to Virginia. More information in Ecological Restoration.
