ORCHARD DOWNS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS : URBANA-CHAMPAGNE, IL
One of two teams selected to develop a plan for a mixed-use development on 160-acres at the U.of Illinois with a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. Accepted as a pilot for LEED™ Neighborhood Development. the ‘village’ was designed as a garden community adjacent to the campus arboretum. Collaboration with developer Vermilion/Fox/Atkins and Hays Ewing Design Studio Architects.
