ORONGO STATION CONSERVATION: POVERTY BAY, GISBORNE, NEW ZEALAND
The Orongo Station Conservation Master Plan for a 3,000-acre New Zealand sheep farm creates a new model for the agrarian landscape. The plan interweaves design that celebrates cultural history with the repair of damaged ecosystems through wetland restoration and reforestation of eroding landscapes.
