Martha Jefferson Hospital Named 2012 Most Beautiful Hospital in the United States

The new Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville VA, which opened in August 2011, was named the 2012 Most Beautiful Hospital in the United States in a national competition. NBW designed the landscape for the 80 acre campus which has been highly praised by the Martha Jefferson community. The design capitalizes on views to surrounding mountains and features a network of jogging and stroll paths through the campus, a native plant palette, medicinal plant gardens, an amphitheater, a labyrinth, roof gardens, minimal areas of mown lawn, and expansive meadows dominated by native wildflowers.
