Sara C. Myhre, RLA, RA, Senior Project Manager

Sara Myhre joined Nelson Byrd Woltz in October 2002.She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia in 1992 and Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees in 1996, also from the University of Virginia. Following graduate school, Sara moved to Seattle where she worked for The Portico Group for six years. Projects there included a master plan for the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville AR; the Lowry Park Children’s Zoo in Tampa FL; the Dallas Children’s Zoo in Dallas TX; and the Auckland Zoo Sea Lion Exhibit in Auckland, New Zealand.

At NBW, Sara has been a project landscape architect for the Asia Trail at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., and project manager for the landscape master plan at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena CA. She has overseen construction for several Luck Stone Corporation Design Center projects. She is currently the Senior Project Manager for City Garden, a three-acre public sculpture garden in downtown Saint Louis MO scheduled to open in the beginning of July 2009. She is also managing the design of a landscape plan for St. Anne’s-Belfield Lower and Middle Schools in Charlottesville,VA.
