![]() Breck Gastinger, Senior Project Manager Breck began working at Nelson Byrd Woltz in 2000. He earned Master of Architecture (2003) and Landscape Architecture (2004) degrees from the University of Virginia. He also holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from UVA (1998). His graduate work was recognized with numerous honors including the AIA School Medal for design excellence and the Stanley Abbott Award for excellence in Landscape Architecture. At NBW, Breck has worked on a wide range of projects including the new town of WaterColor in Walton County, FL; Washington and Lee University Commons, Lexington, VA; Automated Trading Desk Corporate Headquarters, Mount Pleasant, SC; the Farm at Cape Kidnappers, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand; the Green Roof, Terrace, and Blue Ridge Courtyard at Rouss Hall, University of Virginia (UVA’s first green roof project); the winning design team for the Flight 93 Memorial competition; the second and third design stages of the Eisenhower Memorial competition; and the first and second stages of the Framing a Modern Masterpiece Competition in St. Louis, MO. He was a Project Manager on Citygarden in St. Louis, MO. He is currently the Senior Project Manager for a landscape stewardship plan for Thomas Jefferson’s 3,000-acre property at Monticello, Charlottesville, Virginia; Eastwoodhill Arboretum Master Plan, Gisborne, New Zealand; and a campus master plan for the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Florida. Breck served as Senior Project Manager for the Orongo Station Conservation Master Plan and associated construction projects, Poverty Bay, New Zealand, which was awarded a National Honor Award by ASLA. |
