Nelson Byrd Woltz is seeking an innovative graphic artist with a passion for design to be part of a collaborative effort to develop and refine materials for print and electronic media. The Designer will work directly with the Marketing Manager to hone a consistent visual language that is reflective of the firm's design values and help maintain that consistency throughout the firm's website, marketing, presentation and lecture materials.

 

On a daily basis the Graphic/Web Designer is expected to create and/or edit images, audio-visual components, and other material for web and print distribution; integrate video content to the website; organize and maintain digital files and images; and maintain and update NBW's existing website. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Interest or experience in landscape architecture or architecture would be beneficial to the position. An initial goal for the Designer is to participate in the completion of a monograph of the firm's design work to be published by Princeton Architectural Press in the spring of 2012.

 

Requirements:

    > Undergraduate or graduate degree in graphic design or related discipline

> At least 3 years of applicable experience in a professional setting

> Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, and website development tools (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, Flash)

> Rigorous attention to detail

> Ability to prioritize and meet concurrent deadlines

> Remain up-to-date with graphic design practices and software

> Some digital photography and videography experience desired

> CAD, 3-D modeling or GIS software knowledge a plus but not required
