Shane earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at University of Virginia in 2006 and his Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2013. His final year of graduate school heavily focused on reimagining and retrofitting sprawling Mega-Cities by identifying habits of daily life and developing a new design strategy for localized living. The thesis is heavily influenced by his time working for Jay Griffith Landscapes in Los Angeles and West 8 in Rotterdam. Shane joined Nelson Byrd Woltz’ New York office in September of 2013. He is primarily working on the Hudson Yards project developing designs, utilizing 3D software, advanced rendering techniques and 3D printing technology.
