Prior to joining Nelson Byrd Woltz in 2011, Jen worked at D.I.R.T. studio where she focused on the regeneration of post-industrial landscapes including the corporate headquarters of Urban Outfitters at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at Building 92, and the redevelopment of Centennial Mills on Portland’s Willamette River. Since 2008 Jen has also been teaching courses within the Eco-Technology curriculum at the Department of Landscape Architecture at UVA. Jen’s prior professional experience includes work for Skeo Solutions as an environmental consultant where she concentrated on the reuse of Superfund sites and McKee Carson, an engineering, landscape architecture and land planning firm. At NBW Jen has worked on the Flight 93 National Memorial Park in Shanksville PA, the Summit Bechtel National Scouting Reserve in Glen Jean WV,and the Boy Scouts of America's new east coast Jamboree site. She is currently assisting with the design development for Bok Tower in Lake Wales Florida and a new garden at the Devonian Botanic Garden in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Jen graduated from the University of Virginia in 2002 with a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture. There she received the ASLA Student Award of Honor and participated as president of the Student Association of Landscape Architects. Jen, a native of California, holds an undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara in the History of Art and Architecture.
